    New IMC3010/4510 series

    Dear Fellas,

Has anyone experienced the development units fail for these models? I have 3 now in the field and were newly installed. Prints are producing bands and are highly noticable.

we haven't installed any here yet, but looking at the development unit it seems similar to that of the 2003/2503, maybe it's the same with the different connector don't make them retro-compatible.
I assume you've already cleaned the laser glasses(?), how many prints did they make before manifesting the problem you say?

usually the black tends to physically break inside if you pull the neck too much.

Hello, just reviving this old thread. We had a couple of installations, 2 have failed having the same issue. The third one we opened the PCDU and inspected the development unit and noticed a thin coating of developer on the magnetic roller (same thing happening in the old MP4000 mono mahcines). Upon cleaning, image quality has improved. IDK if it has something to do with the region where I am now or something happened during shipment.

maybe the problem could be the toner....its different from the others, could be a defective lot by suppliers.
if you feel like it, you can put a new dev unit with a bottle filled by original ricoh mpc3004 toner for test
