Ricoh C3004 Scan to Folder SMB

    Hi Experts,

Scan to Folder is not working in Ricoh C3004 models. C4504 models are working fine using the same configurations and also on the same network. Host address / IP address, Folder path, user ID and Password all are correct and same as used in C4504 but it's not working with c305, c3004 models only.

C3004 use port 139 for SMB while C4504 use port 445. In 4504 models there are some advance settings shows up in the configuration when accessed using web browser. Ports can be changed 139 to 445. In c3004 there is no advance options showing and ports cannot be changed.

Is this related to firmware? Advance options will show after upgrading the latest firmware?

    Please share your knowledge

    Thanks

Port 139 is for NetBIOS over TCP/IP and is no longer enabled by default in Windows for security reasons. Port 445 is set when SSL is properly enabled

      Thank you for your response.

I want to know why the advance settings are not showing in C3004?

It could be Network Security. Under high levels some User Tools and WIM settings can be disabled. If the security level is then returned to default without first enabling those settings, they do not appear.

How we can change those settings?

            First you change network security

The C4504 must have updated firmware and the others need to be updated.
The fact that the C3004 is currently using Port 139 is a clear indicator (to me) that the F/W needs updating, because that would have been automatically changed.
The C305 will definitely need an update.

Update the firmware then you will see the option to change the SMB port like you have on the C4504.
