ricoh 8100s jamming

my ricoh 8100s jams on colored paper it only like to run white paper is their a setting i need to change to fix this ? It does not matter what color I select in the paper tray settings.


Any help is appreciated

What is the jam number?

One thing that might be the problem is if you are using dark colored paper the reflective jam sensors may not be able to see it.

SP mode:
SP1-916-003 variable magnification mode 3
1.00~ 5.00 / 3.53 (default) / 0.001 step
Advanced Settings:
Login -> [Paper Setting] -> [Edit Custom Paper] -> Select the paper in use -> [Change] under "Advanced Settings" -> Select 06 [Color Paper Edge Detection Adjustment].

If you're not using the paper catalog do the SP adjustment, if you are using the paper catalog do the Advanced Setting change for that paper.
