Hi Mark, I am experimenting in the laboratory this, "without software, and without deception", only using the sp's , I found it in the manual by chance, looking for something else, and it works fine, send the counter to 3 different emails, at the time you want, the day of the month you want, you just have to set the smtp for sending via email ... but you had to do it anyway even with an app ... if you want to try, I suggest you skip the part of the sd card, a waste of time, you can enter the values by hand via sp, it is in Italian, but you can translate it

If the MFP has the Smart Operation Panel, it is an option that can be installed with the SOP Designer Tool.

yes, i have seen this, on some machines, but in the past, in another company we used "pandora", and later "pdm "of ricoh italia, (I don't know what you used) only that they gave a lot of trouble, every day, the assistance switchboard, contacted me, to tell me to call some customers because the meter did not arrive, and I had to call them to tell them to turn off, and turn on the mc, because the software "jammed" maybe, I personally think because of the java environment (which honestly has always been on dick... lol) .... how are these? do you have feedback, on reliability?

We avoided using 3rd party solutions that were not directly supported by Ricoh. Too often they only worked properly with only one version of at least one firmware. Most of our customers did not mind printing and faxing the counter sheet on a monthly basis.

We set this feature up on ALL of our machines that utilize Ricoh's Smart Op Panel excepting only those on sites that can't allow access for high security reasons. This accounts for several hundred machines and has dramatically reduced our labor investment for billing copy counts. We have seen improved accuracy and our administrators are free to do other work instead of calling customers for meters and manually entering the counts once we have the data in hand.

When using the Send Meter app on Ricoh's SOP Designer, you can determine the time, day and frequency the copier will send its report. You can also assign which counters are reported. Look up Ricoh's available info on SOP Designer.

hello mark, I'm glad you are satisfied, I suggest you translate the attachment I entered, on page 2, there is the information you are looking for, in short, then look there, there is an sp to activate / deactivate, a sp for the date (day number), an sp for the time of sending, and an sp to do a test on the fly, immediately

Just a FYI..this also works on Non Sop machines..If you can access SP 5866-110 and turn it to a 1 the machine will send out a meter page once a month. On older machines you will need to make sure you have the latest firmware.

Which models did you make it work? Unfortunately our market is 80% used machines (Greece) and we are way behind others countrys, to give you an example, we are now replacing the MPC3001 renting machines to MPC2011 - MPC2503.

hello, you are not behind, it is normal, they are photocopiers, they last for years!
however if it is not there, sp5-866, try to update the firmware, maybe they added it later, otherwise try to search the pdf manual with the search function, or directly you, in the sp, "Report Validity", "CounterE-Mail", maybe on that model they are in another numbering.

Try SP 5866-001 and 005.
