are the two routers next to one another so if replaced it with a switch

How many devices connected to the second router?
The father has a firm, his sun another and they live in there home (all at the same location).
There is no connection between the 2 router networks.
I think the extra router was installed because the "IT'er" didn't knew he actually needed a repeater instead of an extra router to provide for wifi.

Do the networks have any kind of connection to each other at all? Unless they can actually communicate with each other there's not much you can do to get the machine to work.

If the two network can see each other and communicate, since they are both 192.168.x.x networks you could potentially expand the subnet mask on the MFP to 255.255.252.0

Overall, it sounds like the customer has backed themselves into a disaster of their own making.

If it's just printing that you're doing, a USB print server would do the trick:

    Amazon.com: StarTech.com 10/100Mbps Ethernet to USB 2.0 Network Print Server - Windows 10 - LPR - LAN USB Print Server Adapter (PM1115U2),Black : Electronics

If you need to scan also, this won't work. =^..^=

    Hoi,
range 192.168.0.x and 1920.168.2.x (printer installed) at same location.
Don't now why they use 2 routers but you know, customer is always wright ...
I've told him to rebuild their network, but they don't want to spend more money on a IT'er to look at it; "it works now, and that is fine...".
There is a way to make this connection but with a VPN and 2 firewalls but that is complicated and much to expensive for their use.
Is there another - more simple - way?
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Working...
