Ricoh IM C4500. Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped.

    Hi guys!
First, i need to mention that, I'm not a professional technician for Ricoh printers.
I tried to update our Ricoh firmware, thru RFUT, but got an error at the end.
Now, the printer boots up, but all i get on the screen is Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped.
Tried to do the fw update again and got the same result.
I also cannot get into SP, in order to try update the fw from USB or SD card. I can get to the digit dial screen by pressing the side button and Check Status, but after tapping Reset806182C, nothing happens.
Do you, maybe have any suggestions i can try?

Never seen this personally, but if I had, I think I'd be trying a System recovery on the Smart Operation panel

Did you put the SD card with the package firmware in to the upgrade slot in the controller and then turn the machine on? Should go in the firmware update screen.

Actually he used the RFUT, Ricoh Firmware Update Tool. Another RFUT failure. syitofficer the RFUT downloads a file to your computer which you then use to to update the MFP. After downloading the file did you disconnect everything from the IM C4500 except the computer you were using to do the update and and not have anything else running on the computer?

Actually, i did the update via network, from my office. And, yes, i had other programs running on the computer.
Now, after failure, i did some research and see that there can be some problems arising when you do the fw update via network.
I placed also the .pkg file on a memory stick FAT 32 inside a folder named "package" on the root, but i cannot get the update to start from the stick.
I'm thinking for the next step, to place the .pkg on a SD card instead of a memory stick, but i was very busy lately and didn't had the time for this.

More than likely will not work, even from a properly prepared SD card. The error you now have is due to a corrupted module and Package cannot detect corrupted files. You need all the individual modules either as .fwu for SD card or .rfu for installing with WIM.

If you do need the individual modules, unzip the pkg file.
