    MP 7503 card reader problem

I want to add a IC card reader

when I finish address setting and try to search my IC card reader.

    Screen shows: Unfortunately,Setting2 has stopped.

why and how can I do?

    p.s.
    Device Setting(5985-1 and -2)
    is 1 (open)

It is not referring to SP 5985. It is referring to the Type of external authentication device. Check the installation instructions for the card reader you are trying to use. Either it is not properly connected, the wrong Type is selected or it is not working.

          Thank you for your answer.
Today I'm on a business trip, as soon as I get back I'll let you know and I'll come back with information.

I tested the following solutions from those you provided (nothing helped):
            - changing the volume (according to the instructions above)
            - wipe the cache and wipe the ricoh partition - I did not reset the SOP to factory settings because I was afraid of losing the factory applications
            - downgrading and upgrading the software
            - Java is in version: 12.78.00

            Maybe this will help:
            - I bought a used device, previously it worked with an IC card. I bought it without a reader, the device displayed a message about the need to log in (by card or login) - I removed the message by changing the authorization. Additionally, I disabled the installed applications (SLNX) because they caused the authorization settings to return - that is why the device asked for the card to be presented again.
The only thing left is the settings2 error

I will also add that my printer is:
              Ricoh MPC307
I also tried to uninstall and install the applications (I had the installation files after unpacking the update package from RFUT):
              - Bluetooth Authentication Plugin
              - Proximity Card Reader Support Plugin
              - Support Settings
              - Quick card Autentication Config
              - Bluetooth service
              - Standard IC Card Plugin
Without result - all the time after entering:
"IC Card/Bluetooth software settings" I have the error "Unfortunately, Settings2 has stopped."

I am increasingly leaning towards resetting the SOP - are all the necessary applications in the package from RFUT? Alternatively, can someone share the firmware on e.g. Google Drive or WeTransfer.

Thank you in advance for your help - this error is frustrating for me.

Quick question, was the MP C307 fully powered OFF when the card reader was connected. From the service manual
                Bluetooth device connection error
The Bluetooth hardware (USB type) was connected after the machine was turned on.

Always connect the Bluetooth device (USB type) before the machine is turned on.

Honestly, I have no idea - I bought the machine without a card reader. This error appears without a card reader connected.

Would someone be so kind as to provide the firmware on an SD card for the MPC307 (with all applications). I would then reset it to factory SOP and let you know if that helped.

Then it was improperly disconnected. As for firmware, the file downloaded by RFUT contains all the individual firmware in the format used to install through WIM. Use an extraction software to extract it.

Still might not clear the error if the error is a hardware error stored in memory either on the mainframe NVram or in the android memory.

Try entering Factory SP Mode and do a Factory reset

This looks like a typical Android error to me - that's why I plan to do a factory SOP reset (via Android Recovery). Before I do that, please confirm once again - is the entire factory software included in the RFUT package - including the classic versions of the applications?

I doubt it. I also doubt if it will erase any applications, they are not firmware. Classic versions are part of the factory applications. The reset will however remove any home screen customizations. You will just have to drag them from a application vault to where you want them on the homepage.

It still might not clear your problem if the problem is a main frame setting for type of external authentication device. The "Setting2" in the error message indicates that it is a Setting error.

Before you create a lot more work for yourself,do this,go into SP mode and print or export the Non-default list. If it is a setting that has been made the list will show it and will also show where you need to go to change it back to default. Then you won't have to be rebuilding your homepage.

Thanks for the suggestion. How can I print a Non-default list? Reset 806182C and next?

Here it is shown that after a factory reset (android recovery) the applications are lost:

Go to 5-990-006 for non default
