    IM C4500 BICU Board issue

IM C4500 Won't do anything other than come ready. Won't Print (Not even a meter sheet) Copy or Scan. You can pull it up via the web browser. This is the 3rd one 2 IM C4500 and 1 IM C3500 that we have had do this. The other 2 were repaired by replacing the BICU Board D0BQ5114 On one we had to replace the ee prom also Ricoh 1407-8389.
Is this a none issue or is there another way to fix this issue these boards are getting expensive.

So it won't throw out any SC even after waiting some time?

Haven't seen this issue yet - back in the days we had some issues with BICUs blown thanks to faulty polygon motors. We were able to revive them by fixing a faulty zero ohm smd resistor that was acting as a fuse an was located close to the power supply connector + replacing the polygon motor.

No SC Code Just the "Functional problem detected Press Restart..." Screen

try to see the cpu led array status on the controller board
consulting the alternation of the led array, with the mirror on the SM, you could understand where the problem is.

p.s. all LEDs on fixed = faulty CPU

I don't have a manual on the IM series so can't check but for the MP models that was caused by the setting of SC5875 SC Auto Reboot. SC5875-001:
0: The machine reboots automatically after the machine issues
an SC error and logs the SC error code. If the same SC occurs
again, the machine does not reboot.
1: The machine does not reboot when an SC error occurs but instead displays the SC code.
If it is set to 0, change it to 1 and reboot. It should then display the SC when you go into any function. Since it only occurs for Type D service codes you most likely have a fusing unit problem or with a board involved in controlling the fusing unit.
