Consistant Paper Jam - Error code J072

Hey all,
I keep getting this jam code J072 and the service manual says it is a "PTB Paper Sensor: Lag Jam" which means the paper has failed to leave the location of the references sensor within the prescribed time due to a jam downstream of the referenced sensor. Can anyone give me direction on what could be causing this? Thanks! Ricoh pro c5110s

Paper dust/lint build up on the black reference prevents the sensor from clearly detecting the trail edge.
