      ahh ok, actually I wanted to upload gif files downloaded from the web, save them on SD and put them on the panel

        the problem is that it doesn't see them as animated wallpapers but as normal wallpapers (images)

          Are you using animated wallpaper from the Google Play Store or just some gifs that you saw on a PC? Animated wallpaper is designed to work on the desktop of a specific OS. Add to that the fact Ricoh's SOP uses a modified android OS. Ricoh does not want just anyone installing what ever app they feel like. HUGE security problem.

            no they are not downloaded from the play store. I can see them correctly on my PC

              They are for the wrong OS. And the wrong usage. My machine gun cat avatar is a PC gif but as an avatar here acts like a image.

                Solved, in the sense that we heard from Ricoh Italy and it seems that an app is needed which however is no longer available.
