    Ricoh online firmware Update

    Hi Experts,

    Few months ago, I was looking for Ricoh 3 and 4 series firmware, I requested in this forum but could not get it. Then I found another solution to update the latest firmware online by connecting the printer directly to the Ricoh server. It was successful.

    Now I am experiencing a problem that in c3004 machine the firmware updates and result shows completed /successful. The details shows that the firmware is latest but it is not. Its version is showing 1.18 which is not the latest. Still the result shows successful update.

    Is there anything on the machine side which is stopping the firmware to update? On other machines it takes around 30 to 40 mins to update sometimes 10 minutes to complete and during the process machine restarts couple of times. In this case it takes hardly one minute just few seconds, and the result goes from 0 to 2 and then 100 percent.

    I want to enable SMB V2/V3 which is possible after updating the firmware. I am trying to update but it says latest version is installed already.

      it's normal, after having this impression, I did some tests a few months ago (RFU vs SD card) and it turned out that the firmware downloaded with RFU were not the latest version, I use it in case of emergency, but if possible, I only update with SD.
      for the rest, you should already be able to enable SMB V2 and V3 with the previous versions

          I could not find the settings in the WIM admin. From where can I enable these options?
