Problems with MP 6002 paper jam

    Hi.
Problems with MP 6002 paper jam. Has anyone ever experienced a paper jam from the second and third tray on the 6002? As on previous models I checked the gears and rollers but everything is fine, and the copier still has less than 100k. has it happened to someone?

believe us ... I have experiences with mp 7500, 6001 solved by replacing gears and rollers with 6M print machines but so, with almost new printers it had not happened to me yet

what jam code does it give you, exactly?

it stops at the start, makes a couple of cm and I find it in the drawer .. almost as if they were forcing the rubbers, but they are new and turn freely.

The MP 6002 is NOT NEW. It was introduced in August 2012 and production was discontinued when the MP 6054 was introduced in February 2015. We do not like liars.

Maybe at 100k is it a new (low miles) old machine. Jam code would be nice. I'm assuming you've swapped paper, fanned, flipped and rotated the paper.

                Hi

I noticed you said that it is occurring I the 2nd and 3rd tray. I'm therefore going to assume that it feeds perfectly from the tray 1 (the tandem tray)

This is what I would do in the case:

                1) remove feed stations 2 and 3. Strip, clean, lubricate and reassemble.

                2) Change the complete set of feed tires.

Thanks for the replies. I'll go for another try. The machine, however, even if not new as an age, still has less than 100,000 copies and the second and third stations that are lacking have worked little, I have already replaced the rubbers and I have cleaned and lubricated the shafts and gears. When the sheet jams, I find it in the drawer with the classic roll of the roll in the edge

                    Try replacing with genuine rollers.

Sounds to me like the paper is hitting the sep roller first rather than the feed roller. I was looking for the bulletin about a mylar going on the tray to lift the feed of the paper more towards the nip of the feed/sep rollers. I couldn't find it. Actually you could take any mylar to do the same. Also there is the separation pressure adjustment by moving a gear held by a setscrew on the separation roller shaft. Also, try af030049 for the pickup roller rather than the original one. Just break the tab off on this roller and clip it onto the shaft like the original.

"Lubricated the shafts and gears" Maybe not a good idea. Cleaning shafts is good, but the only thing I ever lubed on a feed unit like this was to force a drop or two of oil into the one way bearings. Also, since the problem occurs on trays 2 and 3, I would check and clean the vertical transport sensor for tray 2.

More likely someone has replaced the NVRAM. What is the count on the mechanical total counter?
