[Misc] MP C2003 Automatic Color Calibration

    Dear Sir,

yesterday we moved a MP C2003 Machine to another customers office about 10 miles from the previous location. yes, the machine was moved upright, no worries^^

after setup on new site, black color is not printing well, when performing Color Calibration the printout has problem on black and can not be scanned.

machine is unable to scan the printout: "place test sample correctly on template glass". after that the machine states: "scanning failed, repeat automatic color calibration."

please see attached pdf for reverence. i do not have a clue where to start as i am not an printer technican per se...slowly getting there but could be years tbh

According to my experience, this model of machine, when is moved, sometimes takes several impressions to return to its "normal" state. It is also true that this model does not give very good quality in black. The pcdu bk does not complete many times the pm life.

thank you Sir! yes i read about these machines often having issues on drums, particularly not lasting until quoted page count.
did about 40 B/W printouts just to see if black "would come back" by itself...well-not.

black drum would be about 125 bucks.

the machine was printing fine, i did a immaculate test print before leaving site A. On Site B things grew outta my hands quickly.

today i am going to remove the Black drum and have a look, read something about ITB slipping, whatever that means but could be just some dirty sensor as well....i am on site in about 2 hours...still do not have a clue what went wrong tbh...

        best regards:-)
        god bless

It would also be recommended that you clean the id sensors.

of course, it says "scan failed" ... with a black like this! ..... try to do this:
            - laser glass cleaning with stick
            - optical cleaning
            - ID sensor cleaning (x3)
            - rotate the development gear a little forward, and backward a little, and try again
            * maybe the drum could also be extremely worn

Thank you for your help everybody. i managed to figure out the issue...it was the Sensor-Glass. lots of toner-dust on it, therefore the printer was unable to properly print blacks.
after Cleaning everything looks fine, please see attached pdf for reverence.

god bless you all , have a wonderful day wherever you may roam here on gods wonderful creation...
