Hello colleagues, I have a PRO1357EX with the SC672 fault. it came out suddenly and I can not solve it, as the manual is very terse. does it sound to any of you the possible cause? Thanks!

Controller startup error - Controller defective Controller startup error - Op panel harness or connections defective Controller startup error - Check CN31 on controller with BICU. Controller startup error - Reseat connections on IOB. Controller startup error - update system fw to 2.09 or higher -

Agree with Davel, that it could very well be the controller board, but PLEASE search the site -there are DOZENS of threads relating to SC672 on all different models. It's one of the most frustrating and wide ranging errors there is.

I have learned that any component, like a motor or solenoid, that pulls too much current when energizing can cause error codes totally not associated with the device itself. Things like a shorted toner dispensing motor causing stacking errors in the main stapler. Found that when I noticed that the test checker flags I was running while watching the stapler were starting to fade. Disconnected the motor and the problem finisher problem went away.Comment
