I have a very odd problem with our MP 2554. We are having intermittent problems where we scan something LEF through the ADF and auto detect is on when we open the PDF the image is sometimes cut off where it looks like it only scanned the top 5 inches. Other times the image looks like it was reduced down and is very small and hard to read. Any ideas what could be going on? I've already tried resetting the machine, the machine never jams or anything like that either.

Re: MP 2554 Scan Rotating
By the sounds of it, it should be your scan settings when you scanning your originals.
Try changing your settings before you scan. On the screen it's the setting on the left. It will allow you to change orientation, resolution, etc.
It's very easy to use -

Update the firmware & set the scan resolution to 300DPI or higher.

Re: MP 2554 Scan Rotating
The problem for this was actually a firmware bug. Figured I would come back and uppdate this post. I do not recall the versions that were updated but it was the ADF firmware that needed to be rolled back and it started working again.Comment
