Ricoh Pro C7200 mixed media issue

Hi, I have a strange issue with using mixed media on a c7200/ Fiery E-45A with SR5060 finisher, and I'm wondering if anyone can shed any light on it ...
I've checked that the driver is the latest version.
I'm trying to print an A5 booklet which consists of interior pages 80g fed from tray A (weight 2) and a pre-printed cover 250g (weight 6) fed from tray 4 set to pre-printed paper.
When asked to print, the 80g pages print fine, then a cover sheet is fed from tray 4 but it just stops in the middle of the machine before entering the fuser. I've tried this numerous times, always with the same result. If I replace the pre-printed cover with a blank sheet of 250g it passes through correctly and the booklet is finished as it should be ... but with a blank cover of course ! I've also repeated this test several times, and a blank sheet always works.

Has anyone else experienced this issue ??
Any suggestions would be welcome ....

Where exactly "in the middle of the machine" does the cover sheet stop?

Did your salesperson know that the customer was going to be doing this type of job? If so, why was a cover interposer CI5030 not included? A cover interposer is the best way to use pre-printed cover sheets.

Jamming on the vacuum back. Might be not enough air flow through the vacuum back to properly transport the 250 gram cover sheets. Usual causes are worn out fans and dirty exhaust filters for the fans. Replace with new. Also depending on the age of the C7200 the belts themselves might need to be replaced as well.

What is the jam code? Also, try turning the paper 180 degrees to see if it will run that way. Does the preprinted cover have curl? If it does, you might have to curl it back the other way by hand before you run it.

Paper will stop here if its J099 (double feed detection) or J098 (over skew) jam codes. if you are using the paper library then you can turn these jam detections off in the specific paper settings for the cover stock. If you aren't using the library, you really should be as this can be corrected through the advanced settings of the library entry. Also make sure the paper weight is set correctly for the cover stock in the tray.
