[Misc] PRO C5300s Yellow Backgrounding

after and ONLY after 20-30 booklets double-sided on heavy stock (80- pound) glossy / yes its set to thick 6 ( fire e will not allow to go to thick 7 or 8) but its fine, i igey Yellow shaded background then after say 5-8 more the backgrounding goes away, and another 15 or so are clean, then it come back.
the Machine has only 6k total impressions, everything inside looks super clean, I changed charge roillers with another color, no help .
it only does this on the thick stock, does not do it on any other stock, copy or print.

Looking at the color laser process, it writes to no charge. For thicker stock, it automatically adjusts drum charge, development bias and transfer current. When the selected stock is not correct problems can occur. Fiery is nice but pretty much set in what it will let you do. Would it be possible to print one set on 28# plain bond paper without having it go through the finisher and then use that as the original to run the booklet sets from. That way you can use the tray settings to specify the actual type and thickness of the glossy stock.

thank you ,one other note the transfer belt had yellow haze pre cleaning unit , but i didnt have yellow haze on the PCU...

That indicates that all the yellow toner residual is being pulled to the belt. It also indicates that too much is being applied to the drum, drum charge too low or incorrect development bias. Check SP settings for those values for a thickness the Fiery allows vs. the actual thickness. You might be able to change the SP settings.

Not having the service manual for that model I can't be certain but somewhere in the SP3XXX range.

OK well we experimented with using the copy function through the doc feeder , the quality was lower but no yellow hazing, so what does this tell us? the yellow hazing only happens when in print mode, fiery or no fiery ... I could not find where to set paper thikness choices, DV and drum voltages are consistent, i recommended the client return the machine and buy one from me...LOL they have had this problem since it was delivered about 2 weeks ago.... frpm US office solutions, out of orlando and now they cant get them on the phone..go figure.

One other thing to try, in Printing Preferences change Job Type to Document Server then queue the job to print from the Document Server.
