    Ricoh mp9002 java software issue

hi, everyone, we need to replace a rental mp9002 with 1700k prints and 10 years of life, with a newer mp9002, with 500k prints.
the mp9002 (old), has installed the old and expensive ad'hoc java software "AD-FAX", which works only on the serial number of that specific unit,
we have our own supplier who can edit nvrams.

according to you, if I prepare a new nvram, with the serial number of the old one and the prints (500k) of the new one, can the software work on the other mp9002 with nvram modified with the serial number of the old one?

Logically, I think so, but I wanted your opinion before making the investment.

Why not use the "old" nvram on the "new" machine?

because it has 1700k prints, it looks ugly to see, and then it makes us mess up with maintenance
