Help to fix a MPC 2004ex printer

    Hello,
My Ricoh MPC2004ex printer broke down (SC672-00).
I looked for a technician, but no one was able to repair it.
So instead of throwing it away (it didn't work much), I decided to replace the controller board (D2395621).
The printer restarts but displays an SC995-01 message.
While performing the remote update, I noticed that the printer was recognized as an MP C2504 by the software.
Is the controller board the wrong one? Is it possible to "force" it to become an MP C2004ex?
    Thank you for your help.

Sc672 normally is the USB cable between the controller and the op panel. Usually cleaning the connector at the controller corrects the problem. SC995-01 is because you replaced the controller. The serial number, if any, stored on the controller does not match the one stored elsewhere on the C2004. Get a service manual and follow the instructions for entering the correct serial number after replacing the controller. As for the model recognized by the software, the controller might be the same and the model identifying portion of the serial number is wrong.

I guess that you replace it with MPC2504ex controller board. Did the serial number change to new one?

Try check CPM at factory mode - SP 1-802
      If CPM is 21 = MPC2004ex
      If CPM is 26 = MPC2504ex

Then go to SP 5-907 : change the model according to machine speed.

Thank you very much for your replies.
I managed to change the printer model from MPC2504ex to MPC2004ex.
However, I can't see the serial number of the controller board.
The serial number of the display and the BCU are identical.
I noticed that a chip was missing from the controller board I purchased, even though the numbers are the same.
Any idea how to resolve this issue?
        Buy a new controller board?
        Thank you.

Take the nvram chip from the old controller and put it in the new one.

Thanks but I already put the NVRAM chip from the old controller board on the new one (with the new controller board there was no NVRAM chip).

                Hi,
In the SP5811, the serial number of the display and the BCU are the same.
I don't know if it's possible to change the controller's serial number.
I don't see the option in the SP5811.
On the internet I see that some people have the "Novita" or "Fram" options but I don't have it on my screen.
