You want to know how to enter the "special mode" which is something we don't do here. That's a red flag 🚩.

Please speak to your service manager about access to the "special mode"

Actually it is factory mode that you need to enter. Contact your Ricoh instructor.

Especially with a Rep like his!
I would gladly communicate advice via PM to a member who contributed to the forum in a positive way.......not even close to the case here.

Let that be a lesson to some of the other "TAKERS"!

(I'm pretty confident that contacting a Ricoh Instructor, etc isn't an option for him, as it isn't even for me, but I still know the answer )

Yep that's right. But I didn't want to even mention the real name of mode

Lol, that's funny, you think any serice managers know how to access factory service mode on this?

It's such a gaurded secret it makes it a PITA to work on even for authorized techs. Can't find that information anywhere.

The problem is it has been given out numerous times over the years here on CTN. Ricoh changed the main SP access code because too many unauthorized individuals knew it. Next time they change one of the access codes it will be with a firmware update. And it might not be the same for every model line. Trained techs will receive notification of some type in advance.
