    Aficio MP 201SPF drum

    Hi gyus.
Purchased genuine type 1515 Ricoh drum unit and as I don't have manual would kindly ask if there is some kind of setup after changing drum. Will it reset automatically counters itself or I have to do them in service mode? Any adjustments that must be done?
Please don't be harsh on me as this is the first one I ever seen and Ricoh(for now) is outside of brands we normally do.
    TIA

The PCU for this model is considered a supply part so it automatically detects a new unit being installed and will reset the PM counter (if enabled) as well as do the initialisation of the developer.

      Initialization
After you turn on the main power switch, the copier automatically initializes the new PCU. When
the copier is executing initialization, it is important that you:
􀂃 Do not turn off the main power switch.
􀂃 Do not open or remove exterior covers.

A new PCU has a pico fuse built in. When power is applied it is detected and PCU initialization starts. The first step in the initialization is to blow the fuse. Should you have a power failure before initialization completes run SP2-802 Forced Developer Churn and then SP2-214 Developer initialization.

PM me with your email address if you want a manual.

I hear you the words of wisdom.
Thank you for your input and your valuable time.
I could go straight and change it...but that is so unprofessional to me so I figured something like asking rookie question doesn't bother me at all. And I feel having manual for machine I'm working on is of great help so slim you have PM Sir.
Have a great day/night as I will after following your instructions

It is also important to do a thorough cleaning inside the pcdu housing as the old unit will have left behind it toner on the led bar, it also sucks up the toner hopper, also clean the optics and go ...
