I am wondering if anyone else has run into this. My customer has a MP 305+ that jams in fuser on the first copy/print/fax of the day. The rest of the day it is fine. I am perplexed. I increased the ready temps. up by 5, but that doesn't seem to have helped. Any comments?

Re: Ricoh MP 305+
If its jam code 20 it's the fusing exit sensor sticking. Remove sensor and examine the surface that the flag seats on. You will see some residue from the fuser. Always replace the exit sensor when doing bulletin. Take the old sensor apart and the inside of that sensor will have cigarette like tar inside the sensor. The reason it jams once is because of that flag sticking causing paper to crash. Once the flag gets unstuck and warmed up it doesn't happen again until machine is cooled down. I found if you do a call like that without a sensor you can put a drop of fuser oil on a q tip and wipe on flag sensor surface, that will keep flag from sticking till part can be replaced. D205-4408 is flag number.Live for something or die for nothing.Comment
