    Solution

This option can only be used when sending data from a non-savin supported print driver. Basically the machine has to realize that the print driver CAN'T support codes and it prints. So you can try this with an HP4 driver or something and it works fine.

This same case is true with the Virtual Printer option on the newer Richo's. Jobs sent to the Virtual Printer you create must not be from Ricoh drivers to take advantage of any options that you may have defaulted.

    Confusing?

Yes, and seemingly pointless. I'm searching for a reason not to use the correct drivers. AS400 or mainframe printing? That's about all I can come up with as a likely reason to use this function.

Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.

Do others still see this original problem? I am seeing it on a MP 2851! Printer Job Authentication set to Simple (All) or Simple (Limitation) with proper subnets, and the PCL jobs still get thrown away from a Ricoh driver

        PS jobs print fine
        HP PCL Driver prints fine

Anyone found a way around this problem yet?
