    MP2550 crumpling jams

I'm on my second one of these now and I know it can't just be me that has issues with them. The machine feeds paper from any tray and any size just fine. It gets to the drum and then just dies a horrible death accordion-ing up and never even putting the image on the paper.
Jam code that comes up is 20 late to exit sensor.
The previous one would at least transfer the image, but would not drive into the fuser.
Two slightly different issues I know but with only one motor in this model they have to be related, right???

Check the paper feed clutches. Replaced two of them in one machine.
Some of them have rust on the plates.
Could also be a defective sensor.

There is a metal guide plate before the drum init. It gets bent inward, because the trans/sep unit flips over, and the customer slams the duplexer shut. Take it off, and straighten it out. Also, there are separater wheels on the drum. Make sure the spring is in tact and the white little roller is present. The paper likes to catch on that too.
