Does the paper detection failure give you in the 1st tray, or is it an auxiliary tray? Is it in all trays?"ALL WILL BE WELL" The battle cry that most inspires me to follow, from the DC's Comic character that I admire the most. Unit only has cassette 1 and bypass. The issue is with cassette 1. Also had a previous 501-00 code. I'm thinking it must be the D2052526 Paper Detector or less likely it could be the TRAY LIFT SENSOR or maybe the BASE RISE ASS'YsigpicAnything can be made to work if you fiddle with it long enough- San Diego Copier Repair.comComment

Most likely the tray lift sensor is being detected before the paper detector. Either a bad sensor or I have had a warped lift pan do the same.Comment

Makes sense, I'll probably replace both sensors then, thanks for responding.sigpicAnything can be made to work if you fiddle with it long enough- San Diego Copier Repair.comComment

We've had a few of the raising levers crack and break over the years.
