Hi, i have a customer that insist that the prints come out too much lights. The machine has few copies, original toner, new pcu, new fuser, new transfer unit... this client has regular eyesight.... how could i darken the prints? I do not know what else to do. Any idea what i can do?

Try better quality copy paper? Make sure the end-user understands the limitations of this machine. They have to understand this copier/printer will NEVER equal what a production level color copier or inkjet printer might provide them.

color copy paper usually improves the solids and general image quality a lot.

In case the dev units hasn't been replaced it's possible that the density faded over time. If yo clean the PM parts and ID/MUSIC sensors it's usually no problem to run some "force toner " cycles and re-initialize the dev via SP. Of course these suggestions are only to perform if the outputs really show a lack of density/full solids - if the machine seems OK you shouldn't try overtoning it. Perhaps you can print some comparisons with another MPC3003 to prove that your customers MPC is working like it should.

Clean ID sensors and run ACC before doing anything else.

I have had just cleaning the optics correct the problem as long as previous ACC settings were still in memory. At one time Ricoh-USA had an information bulletin instruction techs to run ACC after any firmware update.

You say that "the customer says copies are light....."
We don't really give a Sh*t what the customer says to you.
What do you say? Is the image actually light?
Let's see a colour test page sample......

Ok, I have solved the problem by changing the PCL6 driver settings, i have removed all the brightness, only in the text option and it seems that the client is satisfied...

You are the tech. If this is the case, that should be good enough and I refer you to my prior post. It is not always easy to deal with customers with unreasonable expectations.

Well, the client has vision problems, so I have done what I could, he has been happy, so all is well that ends well.

As a general information I'd like to add that some "punches of the back of ones head" can both cause and cure vision problems
