Scan to email "user not registered" when it is

Hi, All I hope everyone is having a good day. We replaced a C5502 With a C307. I saved the addy book from the 02 and uploaded it to the 307. When they try to scan to email now, it says "user not registered, register user in system settings and select name". The problem is, I can see the address book, and all users have a registration number. I tried changing the registration number on one of the users, but still the same. I am not a scan to email guru, so has anyone run into this issue? Thanks, Mika

Do you have a default from address selected? Ricoh/Savin needs that or each personn needs to choose one when sending.

Did you config the Email settings and set Auto Specify Sender Name to ON ?

Hey Mika!
This, and as mentioned have you actually entered the Administrator Email address as well as all of the SMTP settings for scan to email?
That info does not get transferred over with the address book. It is literally just the addresses.

it could be the address book file not 100% compatible, between the two models, I have already heard this story, actually I would try to insert one by hand to try, however also right what sandmanmac says, the settings are not transferred

Well, I attempted to emulate the old settings from the 02 interface printout with no luck. We have notified their IT people, and all should be well soon. I hope. Appreciate the responses, guys. I get in a little over my head when it comes to the IT end of this job.

Most likely the 2 models have different address book structure with the C307 being smaller. As a result the import only brought in the User Names, User Codes and any User password. Manual editing of the address book is necessary.
