Sounds more like a corrupted driver than the C3003 itself. May also be a corrupted firmware or printer memory.

Yup. Definitely not a mechanical issue...the "POP" sound at the end is just a bonus.

So it's ONLY when PRINTING photos?
What happens when you make a colour copy?
What happens when printing other types documents in colour?

Your OBVIOUSLY not a tech, but most of us aren't psychics either

Clearly your drivers are setup incorrect. Remove them and reinstall.

I would make sure you are using a Ricoh print driver, and not a generic driver. Also, make sure it isn't set up with a WSD port, which will cause all kinds of problems. Usually the PCL6 is the most stable choice. If you are already using a Ricoh print driver, then doing a memory clear for the print application would be my next step.

You are going to have to provide a hell of a lot more information.
                1. What type of computer are you using
                2. What version is the OS on that computer
                3. What is the software that you are printing from
                4. What print driver is the computer using, include version number
                5. What port are you printing through
                6. How long have you had the C3003
                7. When did the problem start
                8. What are the versions of all the firmware on the C3003

Like Sandy said, we are not psychics.

maybe i dont understand well(?)...you print 1 color sheet, and the machine out 4 sheet with same image, but each with a single color?
if you make a single copy color, or SP print color test, what happen? you have a postscript sd installed? ....this happen from all pc's?..if this, try a system printer reset with SP 801 (printer)

.... indeed, looking back on it, it also smells a bit of an engine (?) .... since it doesn't jam .... at least, so I understand(?)

I have no idea what the thread starter tries to describe - perhaps it's just color shifting. I guess things got lost during translation...

A video might be helpful to isolate the problem beyond random guesswork....

Are you saying when you print 1 copy it gives you 4 sheets of paper? Is the full image on each sheet or only the separate colour parts of the original image? Sounds like driver to me.

I think this is the perfect thread to make a bet (do we play a game?, let's make a lottery), let's see which of us has better telepathic, divinatory or powers over this event xD lol.
