[Misc] Printing cheques with Ricoh IM 350F

Hello, I installed an IM 350F which replaced an SP C430DN. The issue is they are printing cheques and the new copier is printing on the other side which is an issue because of the order of the cheques. just wondering if there is anything I can do or is bypass the only option? Thanks!

I assume that since they were using the SP C430 before that he's referring to preprinted cheques, so MICR isn't necessary

Thanks for the response! Flipping over the preprinted cheques is probably my best option. problem is they are numbered so the order would be wrong. the solution might be to get the customer to order them in reverse order.

Admittedly I just had a look at the IM350 and have not actually laid my hands on one of them yet, but it appears to be pretty similar to the MP501/601 , so Yes, it prints on the "face-up" side of the paper when using the bypass tray, meaning that the cheques are in the correct order, whereas this was the opposite on the SP C430.
Why is it a such a problem for them to use the bypass tray? It's OBVIOUSLY way more convenient than reversing the order and using a paper tray .
I understand it sticks out a bit, but sometimes life just ain't fair

Seems to me they have 2 options - and 1 makes no sense.

Would recommend the bypass tray, then you could keep the checks in order. Also create a second printer driver labeled Ricoh Cheques (Checks) with the default preferences set to the bypass tray. Then when check printing they just select the correct driver.

When they receive a fax or someone else in the office sends a print job and they have checks loaded in the drawer, they will waste a bunch of pre-printed checks.

              Good luck !

thanks for the great responses and the help. I explained everything to the customer and they were cool with using bypass.
