    Ricoh Aficio 2060 SC555

Hello friends, i have got an aficio 2060 with an SC555 error code, any thoughts as to what can be the cause. This machine service manaul does no have this code although it says something about the hot roller not heating up an a certain temp.
    Thanks

Have you already tried replacing the thermistors and/or thermostats?

      sc555 normally is:

Fusing lamp consecutive full power 1 -

After warm-up, the fusing lamp remains at full power for 15 seconds without the hot roller rotating

Possibly dirty thermistors or power supply. i'd go for the thermistors first.

there's a bulletin about this on Ricoh. there was a manufacturing fault or something and there is a new number for these parts.

The part numbers are AW100108 and AW100109. An SC reset before replacing them might give you an SC552 error and pop the centre thermostat, however this can be reset with a good bang (ha ha.)

First place to start is the thermostats, I've had a few of these do this. Replace them as a set, I think the part numbers are AW11 0064 and 0066.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

            Hit it.

You can tell the new style thermostats by the black rivets on the top. The old style were unpainted.
