Hello guys, I have some problems with my ricoh printer MPC2800. The printer was working fine, but now, copier and printer tests are so bad.

What should I check to resolve this issue?

Looks fine to me .

But seriously, do you really expect a few lines of text is going to help you resolve that?

That's an INSULT to our industry!


BTW....the newest models will text and email you 3 days notice before they are going to fail.
Maybe something to consider

I would like some tips, what I could check to try to solve this problem, the copies were coming out perfectly well, and from one hour to another, it started to present these failures.

And have you tried anything on your own? What are the PM counters? What is the average number of pages per job? The MP C2800 was introduced 14 years ago. Maybe it is time for something newer.

Well, I would start at the fuser and see if on of the pressure levers is not broken.

Can you wipe off the toner, like it's poor fusing, or is the toner fixed good to the paper? Then maybe a transfer problem.

Looking like a failing fuser. If the toner wipes off with your fingers, it's the fuser. You can also pull open the door before the page gets to the fuser to see if its image formation related.

Pay no mind to the grumpy old fucks on this site, they are part of the "Get Off My Lawn" club and seem to do nothing but live on this. Dude even posted an example.....

If the problem started immediately after having cleared a paper jam, it is most likely a broken PTR unit.

Broken transfer case.
Good luck trying to get the modified parts to repair it.

Easy there Oze. From what I have seen mojorolla is an experienced copier tech. I may not like his politics but he has given some good machine advice.
