    [Misc] Ricoh IMC fuser Mod

    Hi,
Anybody out there know of a way to make the IMC2000 fuser to fit the larger machines in the series (IMC3000,IMC4500,IMC6000) ?

thinking of older MPC generations: there's probably a different halogen lamp inside with less wattage

Base plate may be the main difference.
We also use IMC fusers for MPC 6004. just remove lock levers and swap upper cover.
I'm about to try IMC6000 fuser in SPC840 by swapping base plate.

sounds great, can save around $ 500
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

Yep, good saving. Unfortunately IMC unit didn't work in SPC 840. Not big cost difference, but would've been convenient.
P.S. I also use IMC colour drum units on MPC 6004. Taking PCU off PCDU is about 1k cheaper than buying 6004 colour pcu!

Can you use the Dev. Unit also in the MP Cxxx4?

Nah, different connections, but dev units comparatively cheap.
