    Ricoh IM 3500 SC 142-12

Just curious if anybody else has experienced this code on this model. Have seen it on 2 different fairly new machines in the past month. Was able to fix the issue on both by reconnecting the scanner unit ribbon cables but I suspect it may return.

At the moment the IMCxxxx that we are handling have not had any similar problem, so far. (Spain)
Except for an MP301 that we had to replace the optics. When scanning in color, the texts looked a shade of red and generated a greenish area in the margin. I think there's a post in the photo.

SC 142-12 = "white level error"...try to check if are present other sc error in memory, try to clean a optic parts on carriage, and the white band under the glass...upgrade the fimware, and just for must be secure of do all possible for not come back that SC, I would also make a nice sp801 "scanner", also print first the sp 5-990 "non standard" for re-input any possible custom data.
