I have returned to the scene of the crime today and this is what I have found. Label beneath tone cartridge tray "black toner # 842201". This relates to a C 3502 and C 3002. The Machine is labeled as MP C4502-RM. The afore mentioned toner also crosses over to 841735. Curious for sure. The aftermarket C4502 toner also did not work. What the heck kind of C4502 model is this?

I would print out the config page and make sure it really is a 4502. I do recall thinking when Ricoh refurbished them under Greenline, these machines used special firmware to take a different toner. When we came across them, we just updated firmware.
I would try firmware.

I have the self - diagnostic report in front of me and it says C4502. The color toners are all C4502 toners. The firmware is the D144. This is a fairly low milage copier. So is The Greenline a factory refurbished? As it does have Greenline label on front cover.

Just load the regular firmware package for the 4502.

I vaguely remember that for some older models that Greenline Models did require different firmware and different toner as a RoHS solution.

Just load the regular firmware package for the 4502.

Yesterday I did firmware update and that took care of my problem. Thanks to all. Happy Thanksgiving.
