    No web interface

    Well here's what I got
    Ricoh MP C4504ex
You type in the ip address in a web browser and it connects shows the machine id and model in the browser tab but that's it screen stays white.
You can hear the machine making the noises when you connect but nothing else happens.
You can print but apparently you can't scan.
    Air Print works
    Tried
    Different IPs including dhcp
Different browsers Chrome FireFox and edge
This is the second machine in this location with the same results
This machine is connected via a erros
I have slowed down the nic card
    and swapped out the cables.
Powered everything down and back on multiple times
I have used every cussword's I know so if anyone has anything please let me know.
    Thanks

    Re: No web interface

When you "Powered it down" did do a full purge the power shut down or just a control panel? What you need to do is either power it off from the control panel and leave for 2 hours before turning it back on or turn off at the control then immediately disconnect the power cord and hold the control panel button down until the power LED flashes. This discharges all the capacitors. When you power back on you will have the option of launching the full android service menu or you can just let it startup. It will also return the touch screen calibration to factor final settings in case you ever have a touch screen problem.

If you still have problems try connecting you laptop directly to the C4504. This will eliminate all LAN cause problems.

Have not tried a power purge......yet. I doubt that would be a solution since it did the same exact thing with 2 different machines.

If they were both in the same building and it was a power surge that caused the problem. A lot of dealers think that quality power protection is too expensive until they have to replace a $500+ board.

Sorry didn't explain that it was another machine that I brought in after I could not get the first machines interface to pull up. It was not in the building until yesterday. I really feal that is is either an issue with the Erros wifi or the Verizon hot spot. With the Erros my most likely suspect.

As you have two devices with the same issue at this site connect your laptop directly to the MPC4504 & see if you can open the WIM ok ?

If you get the same issue update ALL the firmware.

I concur. Connect your laptop directly and try to access the machine

Also since it occurred with 2 different machines is the other machine in your workshop? If it is you connect it to your network and test it.

Also try a different browser. As much as people hate Internet explorer and Edge they sometimes work well when it comes to this.

Have you tried a firmware update? Might help

Totally agree with you Slimslob. In areas with unstable and poor power supply I recommend clients get an AVR. It's around $100-200 but it lasts for years and can transfered to the new machines to come.

I always tell customers, the AVR may cost $200 but if a surge blows the controller or BICU board its about $500 and above. Excluding labour
