    cl7000 line adjustment problem

looks like the cyan and the magenta line needs adjusting. the magenta does not look aligned with the rest of the clours. this also makes the text bit blurry. i was told to do sumfin in sc5993 but i jus dont know wat steps to take first.

also customer is not getting pure blue or purple like he did when he first got the machine. seems bit fainter. pcu and dev units have only done bout 2k each.

Most common problems with these machines failing the line position adjustment are:

    Dirty ID Sensors

    Bad Drum

Undertoned Developer (developer drive problems, Toner Pump problems, Clogged toner tubes, Non-OEM toner can be a *BIG* problem)

    Nicks in the Belt

Dirty upper Transport Belt roller (remember the belt is clear, so the ID sensors can see thru to the roller)

swap pcus around and see if fault transfers
Remove the transfer belt ass. remove black pcu and dev remove id sensor bracket and give it a good clean
remove the belt and thoroughly clean the top roller
run sp-804-066 belt idling with pcu etc removed and then do forced line posn.adj sp-993-002

Check the line position adjustment result with sp5-993-007. It will give you a 6 digit # which can help in troubleshooting. The error condition chart is in service tables, 4.1.3
