3245 C Image quality poor in black

The Image in black is all washed out . I tried new dev units and drum units and no difference. I suspect the developer drive clutch . If so is the clutch from a 2238 the same ? Also is there a way to do a free run on the drive clutch so I can make sure of this . Also I am getting a Independent supplier toner is set . I checked the manual and cant see where to change this.
    Any ideas anyone ?

sounds like the transfer release lever is not at the home position. customers force the door shut and bend the interlock to the left, this allows the front door to close while leaving the lever to the left and not upright

5051-001 Toner refill detection display set to 1.

Could also be the cause of your problem if the toner being used is not geniune OEM stock.

Did you try cleaning the laser slit glass with the 'toothbrush'?
