Hi, i have been a ricoh tech for the last 14 years but i have never encountered this before.
I have a brand new IM C6000 that was installed a week ago, customer rang in to our office complaining of a border around all the text on her documents. As this is a Law firm the documents cant go to court like this.
The firm has a mix of Mac and PC. the Mac users print fine its only the PC users. It happens on word docs and PDF docs.
First thought was the PCL driver. I hooked my laptop to it directly and installed a printer and as usual printed the test page to confirm i had the printer installed and could talk to it.
The windows test print has the dotted line border on it! so does PDF that i print.
this eliminates the customers setup and drivers etc. it is a perfect rectangular border of dotted line around the prints.
I have looked through the settings on the printer and cant find anything that would toggle a border on or off.
does anyone have any ideas? I have logged a case with Ricoh NTS in Sydney about this but they are dragging this out or dont know. none of the other IM C6000 run up that day have this issue.
