I had one of these do this once. The main board in the machine has packed up and it requires a new one.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

      For information,
I have 2 machines with this problem.
      I couldn't solve this problem.
SP1000sf have some similar machine another brands - Sagem MF5461/5481, Xerox 3100MFP, OKI B2500.
I found the information about INIT CARD in the user manual on Sagem, see attachment file.
INIT CARD is installation card that supplies with machine but only on Sagem.
This message appearing only if you execute "arrow down", "8", "5" and "arrow down", "#", "4", p.104 SM.
Never perform this "Erase the consumable counters".
Update the firmware to latest version (Ricoh delete this function from service mode).

Re: RICOH SP1000SF Wait for init Card

To refresh the topic, after 5 years.
In the T & B for this machine I found that there: H320 9500 - Smart Card Maintenance.
Did anyone used this and how? (Because in SM not a word about it).
            Any response?
