    Mottled output

    Hi,

Would like to get some input on this copier Ricoh MP C6003 output.
The output looks like it's not fully transferring to the paper. It's on all colors.
I've replaced the drums and the developing units and the transfer belt assy.
And cleaned the optics. Is there any voltage adjustments that can be made.
    Any input would be appreciated.

Try to change the paper transfer roller unit.

Considering that the C6003, is 7 to 10 years old, has the RTB assembly ever been maintained properly. If not a new belt then at least remove, wipe all debris from the inside surface and clean all the rollers.

That's the PTR that causes that.

How much does the quality improves if you bring, unpack and use a fresh realm of thrustworthy paper from your own shop (like color copy).
A new PTR might also help improving things. If you perform a test print and force it to stop during paper transfer you can check the image on the ITB: It should look pretty solid before paper transfer and after paper transfer there shouldn't be too much residue left on the belt.

And check the enviroment (temperture/humidity). I also seen machines doing this if they are placed close to an entrance/exit door to the outside.

I guess this will be my post #2k LOL

He named that tune in one.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

              Hit it.

Are you using Genuine Ricoh toner? OEM is not Genuine. OEM suppliers do not preform the same quality controls that Ricoh does.

For a few prints he was using at least a little bit of genuine toner after replacing all dev units (if they were genuine of course)

The machine would say something if they weren't.

No it won't, unless the RFID chip is corrupted and that can happen even with Genuine Ricoh.

Now stop making excuses and tell us if you have ever used supplies or parts that are not Genuine Ricoh.

And while we are at it, what is the type of paper being printed on and is the C6003 properly configured for that paper type. There are nearly 2 dozen paper types that can be specified in the C6003 PCL driver or through User Tools.
