    IMC dual card reader

MicrosoftTeams-image.jpgHaving issues using this dual card reader Hamster Pro Duo/CL - Fingerprint Scanner with Card Reader when customer swipes card the reader does not wake up the screen, only way to get it to work is to reboot the reader( has it's own power supply & usb lead to the panel.
The device has Papercut, the supplier of the readers says it's a device issue, but we have no issues with rfidea's or inempro readers on IMC'S or SOP devices-any idea's??? Have increased pwr save to 1 hour as a test -waiting for feedback from the customer.

Have you tried setting screen device always connection setting active in the android screen service mode? Makes sure power still goes to the USB device when the screen goes into power save mode.

So a two fold answer here.
I'm going to hazard a guess that because the machine isn't properly connected to the MFD's USB BUS (card reader has it's own external power supply yes? ) the card reader has NO idea that the machine it's connected to has actually gone to sleep.
My second guess here is that this isn't an approved by Ricoh card reader.
Ricoh will test them in house prior to approving them for use on their devices.
RFideas RFR card readers are 100% connected to the panel by the USB architecture so that when you swipe the card it gets the signal to wake because the panel powers the reader.
