I have a 1224c with constant SC430 I took the drum unit out and noticed inside the MFP that the pcu appears to make contact with contact point for the cleaning unit if I bend the contact point a little and insert the pcu back into the unit it will run for half a day before it comes back with the same error any ideas where this could be shorting?

The code refers to a bad ground (and other things) of the transfer belt cleaning unit. It looks like you don't fix these PCU's, you replace them. The code reads as follows;
430 D Transfer belt cleaning error
• Cleaning is operating at the maximum PWM duty value for 60 milliseconds.
• Short circuit in the transfer belt cleaning unit
• Defective high voltage supply board
• Defective harness (BICU - high voltage supply board)

My first step would be to swap the PCU. The units are prone to premature failure. From that point you can determine if the issue is with the PCU or the machine.the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.
Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I'm not armed.Comment

I figured it out. I took out the pcu unit and looked at the rear where the cleaning unit is there is a little inner gear that the end of the shaft is pointy is needs a retainer ring so that the end of the shaft makes contact with a ground terminal. The ring was missing and the gear was towards the end of the shaft pushing the ground terminal thus shorting out the unit. I placed a plastic snap ring and walla no more sc430 I am leaving the perfectly good pcu at clients location because they have two of these units so sooner or later we will end up using it.Comment
