    Ricoh 9002 vs 9003

    Hello everyone,
    Currently we have to make a choice between buying a ricoh 9002 or 9003
    I tried looking up both machines and couldn't see big differences regarding papers printed per minute, printing dpi, scanning speed etc...
    So I want to inquire whether the 9003 is worth spending more

    Well the main difference is the 9003 is newer & has the cheetah panel.

      Is that the only big difference? Are there any main differences maintenance-wise?

        Other than the Smart Operation Panel, and some reliability changes in the electronics, they are still the same mechanical engine.

        Other differences;
        • PPM speeds; previous model lines 60/75/90. Now 65/75/90
        • First copy time: previous 30/30/300 seconds. Now 10/20/300. Notice both 90 ppm machines the same due to longer warmup for the heavier fusing unit.
        • Can handle heaver paper. 256 g/m2 vs 169 for paper bank and duplex. 300vs 216 for bypass
        • Less power in sleep mode 1.1W vs 7W
        • Jam location LEDs

          No maintenance is very similar however if cost is in issue I suggest you compare PM parts prices between the two models.
