I want to rest the copier to fcatory reset, I tried # and * pushed togather for 10 sec. Copier restarted but came back with no change. This method does not work.
There is not one single process to do that, and there is never legitimate reason to do so as far as I know,
ALSO....trust me when I say that you will likely never recover the machine to proper operating condition if you did -Unless you have the 'birth certificate', because many Factory settings are NOT the settings that the machine ships with.
So let's start with giving us some reasons for post and see where it takes us........ I'm guessing it's probably something simple

Please help,
What do you mean by "factory reset"?
' "But the salesman said . . ." The salesman's an asshole!' Mascan42
'You will always find some Eskimo ready to instruct the Congolese on how to cope with heat waves.' Ibid

If what you are wanting to do is clear the admin password and someone has also changed the supervisor password is a sub-code of SP 5846 that is only accessible from Factory SP mode. The code to enter that is company confidential information and is not made available to those who are not a qualified Ricoh technician. It normally is shown to a dealer service manager by a regional support rep during a visit to the dealership.
