    [Jamming] Ricoh MPC3504 - Showing Jam 001 ???

    Hi Peeps
    I have a MPC3504 Showing J001 and the letter C.
THere is no paper in the area at all, i've checked the input section in service (5 - Modes) and all the sensors in that area seem to work

I've brought the machine back into the workshop to look into further.
At the customers luckily they have 2 of the same machine, so swapped a couple of the sensors between the machines (the ones around the C area) and still no luck, and they worked on the working machine.

    Am i missing something ?

    Thanks in advance

Try to measure the continuity of the wires connected to the sensors, is the fault with all the paper trays?

A J001 is a found jam when power is turned on, it comes out of sleep mode,an access door is is closed or when a flaky door switch makes the C3504 think a cover or door is opened and closed. Check the jam log in SP to see if there was an actual jam The letter C tells you nothing other than maybe which jam door was closed last which jam before the J001 was detected. The jam log tells you where the last jam actually was. Often it is a very small scrap of paper, just big enough to block a sensor. If there were no actual jams just prior to the J001, you have a defective door switch, usually one of the mini push button switches. If the C3504 has an external finisher with a bridge unit, I would start with the bridge unit cover switches. They have been a known source of trouble
