hi, look, I don't recommend contact spray, because they would mix with the dirt on the card, and usually some leave an oily film that oxidizes over time.
"washing" with alcohol and a brush is the best solution, moreover it dries quickly.
excellent solution is to wash with water and degreasing detergent, and a brush (as someone suggested), but it takes longer to dry, and much more compressed air.
I want to underline that this home remedy, it's not the definitive solution to sc, but I've verified that it often works, let's say 3 out of 10(?)... the internal environment of a copier machine, is not the ideal habitat for an electronic so sophisticated, as you well know, there is an exchange of air from the fans which transports: dust, toner, grease, smog, heat, etc...all this is deposited on the card, and oxidizes with the oxygen on the electronics, creating unexpected malfunctions.

If it's really dirty you can indeed use water + dishwashing liquid, then use plenty water to wash away the cleaner and then use compressed air and if you like you can give it final treatment with isopropanol + brush and blow it dry again.
At home I was using my oven (~50degree celsius) and placed the PCB in there for an hour and gave it a break for another few hours before reassemble.

In my country, there is a Youtuber, who is dedicated to talking about old hardware. In some cases he even made the Doom functional on an old PC with 30 years (I think) a 386 and 4 monitors xD ha ha !!!

Well to the point, that raving, the point is that all the computers you recycle, always wash them with soap and water, which I have been surprised a LOT always .
"ALL WILL BE WELL" The battle cry that most inspires me to follow, from the DC's Comic character that I admire the most. And I feel satisfied with being better every day, and with using Gnu-Linux as my usual Operating System.Apologies for my English, it's not my mother tongue and I'm helping the translator.
