    IMC 4500 Fusing issues

    Hello everybody

I have the same problem on 4 or 5 new IMC 4500. There are reports on the prints (as if the fuse dont heating enough).
We have already update all copiers, change fusing unit with a new, increase fusing temperature... always the same problem !
We have called too the Hotline but no solution for now... other similar cases are know today.

Have you an idea how I can resolve this problem ?

    Thanks you

Is it all for the same customer? If so try their paper in a different copier/printer. It's very unusual to have an issue like this on 4-5 of those, we have dozens (maybe more if you include all the IM series) in the field and very few fuser issues.

      a few Q's for you:

what weight media are they printing on?
does it match what the tray is defined for?
      what type paper?
      plain.. glossy..letterhead.. heavy .. cardstock?
is that setting right for the tray?
      OEM toner?
      OEM Drum/Dev?
      total page count?
      any service parts over life?
      send PDF's scans of issues

As if not more often than not, fusing offset b=can be caused by the fusing temperature being to high. If it only happens when printing and not when copying, faxing or internal reports the IM C4500 is not properly configured to use the setting from the PC. Either that or the paper set for the document is not the same as what is in the paper tray. Photo glossy paper can be a major pain to adjust a machine for.

We have literally hundreds of this model in the field and have not had that issue. These machines are bullet proof

Apparently it would seem like a series of faulty machines from a common problem, if they are under warranty then you should insist on calling the hotline. Do you have at least one of this model that works well?

If somehow you can play the game of exchanging parts and electronic boards to find the problem of the defective ones
