You can disable the "screen standby" time in user mode... Set it to always on or choose a time... 10...15minutes..

One thing I have encountered in the past is that some machines do not recover properly if multiple time out are set to the same delay, common with default settings. I would set every thing to a 10 to 15 second in time out times. Normally I would set them to sequence in the following order:
            1. User time out
            2. Function time out
            3. Screen standby
            4. Energy saver
            5. Sleep mode

One other thing, for models with a walk-up sensor, disable it. Normal foot traffic within an office can keep triggering it.

Yea the u=is the part number for the fan on top of the controller box and yes it does run constantly. The fan's shaft bushing could be running dry and when they do they make a lot of noise until the seize at which point they become silent and the boards in the controller box roast.

you're right slimslob, the controller fan, always runs, but, at this point, maybe, I didn't understand this discussion well(?).....in the end all this mess for a noisy controller fan?

                        Good evening my friends
Not from the fan from the control box
I'm still working on solving the problem
A new firmware for the machine was downloaded from the Ricoh website, and unfortunately nothing happened
Now I am working on taking a copy of the software from a machine that works perfectly I will give it a try, and thanks to all, I will let you know the results.

Sorry, i'm not shure if i understood the problem is it:

                          1. A noisy fan?
                          2. the machine goes to stand by during work (machine works, but screen turns off)
3 The machine stopps working and goes in stand by mode
                          4. The fans works for a period of time after the machine stopps working ( there are SP settings for that)

if I understand correctly, you mean to make a dump of firmware from a working unit?....if you succeed, you absolutely must let us know how you did it.

That's what I understood him to say also...AND I, too would like to know how to do it. About twenty or twenty-five years ago Ricoh allowed you to do this through their service mode. However, I have not seen a setting that enabled it for a very long time.
