Hi, is WIA scanning more reliable than smb?
Does it have connection issue like twain for instances cant scan or cannot connect like tat?

I have set this up on a few devices, however most clients don't like the 'pull scan' method so SMB is prefered.

WIA, Windows Image Acquisition, and network WIA allow many more programs to import an image. Almost every program that has scan acquisition capabilities automatically recognizes a WIA scanner or scan driver. Not all recognize TWAIN drivers. A plus if you have a program that require images be imported from a scanner and not a file.

The main drawbacks are having to make 2 trips to the MFP (one to place the originals on the feeder and to retrieve your originals) and the chance of someone wanting to use the MFP to make copies removing your originals.
