Ricoh Aficio 700 Doesn't stop adding toner.
This unit is torturing me. It does not stop adding toner and the add toner light will not go away. It keeps adding and adding toner without need.
We have replaced the toner density sensor (AW230019), toner end sensor, as well as the toner supply clutch (AX200093) and this did not fix the problem. Could this be a main board issue?

    Please help; thank you.

Are you vacuuming the dev tank with the new TD sensor installed? If so that may be damaging the new sensors. Also take static precautions when installing the sensors to prevent static damage. Make sure the connectors and cables are ok and do a continuity test back to the main board.

We had a 1055 do that many times (same family) we ended up having to replace the toner hopper, toner bottle holder, and the developer unit. The machine in question had about 5 million on it however. How does the machine run on fixed mode?

It does sound like a TD sensor or the toner end sensor. After replacing the TD sensor, change and set the developer. Also, make sure the toner end sensor wiper is working correctly. Shake the crap out of the toner bottle (with the cap on) to ensure there is no clumping in the bottle. This happens when the bottles are stored on their side instead of standing them up.
I have had this problem several times over the years and these measures have remedied the problem. Also, ensure your ID sensor is clean.
This advice is for the A292/A293 series machines. Please disregard if yours is different.
